Soul of Wit
This is an Assassin's Creed blog. A Harry Potter blog. The Legend of Zelda, too, is blogged about. Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra makes random appearances, as does the Marvel Universe, Merlin, Sherlock, and Howl's Moving Castle. The forecast predicts a high chance of LotR as we approach December.

At the end of the day, however, this is an "Ooo shiny!" blog.

I just thought of something amazing

You know how Disney bought Star Wars? You know how Disney owns ABC and in turn, ABC Family? You know how ABC Family always does Harry Potter Weekends?

We could now get Star Wars/Harry Potter Weekends. My mind has exploded.

Let’s look back on an iconic scene from the original Star Wars, as we look ahead to Lucasfilm under new management.

“Recently discovered vintage photographs prove once and for all that Star Wars is REAL! Ok, maybe not true, but what if it was? These great photo manipulations by If Star Wars Was Real make it seem as if R2D2, AT-AT’s and even Boba Fett were actually walking the streets as recent as the 60s.”

‘Star Wars’ 80’s High School Redesign Concepts | Denis Medri

Artist Denis Medri has been pumping out a steady stream of redesigns of classic comic characters, and given them the Steampunk treatment, Western treatment and even Rockabilly treatment. However recent pieces that turn Star Wars into an 80’s High School movie might just be his most imaginative creations yet. He’s able to take non-human characters and make them human, while not losing the true visual elements about what makes them so unique. Preppy Lando might just be one of the most perfect things the internet has ever thought forth. Brilliant stuff going on here.

Words cannot express how much I love this.

DAMNIT Disney World! Why am I not IN you?

Starting May 18, 2012, visitors to the Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (located at Walt Disney World) can step into the “Carbon Freezing Chamber” and have an 8-inch figurine created of themselves “frozen in carbonite.” The figurine is comprised of a 3D scan of the visitor’s face and the body of Han Solo. According to Star Wars News, the Carbon Freeze Me experience allows guests to the theme park to “relive the famous carbon freezing scene from The Empire Strikes Back.” The 2012 Star Wars Weekends are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 18 to June 10, 2012.

WTF!!!???!!! WANT!!!!!

Shawn writes:

This is abso-freakin-necessary and if your summer vacation involves Amish Country, shame on you, sir.  Shame on you.

The whole keeping Han Solo’s body is kinda creepy, but at the same time, pretty awesome. The last time I visited all the Orlando theme parks, I had my face scanned and put unto Aayla Secura—my sister was Padme. That was cool, but not as cool as this.

You’re trembling.

Happy Star Wars Day! May 4th 2012

I would whisper, “Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” every time I mailed a bill to Comcast with this box.
